| The Harris County Hospital
District Foundation was chartered by the State of Texas on March
2, 1992 as a nonprofit corporation whose exclusive purpose was
to operate a charitable, scientific, and educational entity solely
for the benefit of the Harris County Hospital District.
The Foundation raises endowment funds and works conjointly
with the governing board of the Hospital District in raising the
consciousness of health welfare in the community. The Foundation
is committed to raising funding as well as public support
for programs and services that go above and beyond the narrow
scope of tax-supported care for the uninsured and the
underinsured.
