Harris County Hospital District Foundation

The Harris County Hospital District Foundation is a nonprofit corporation that raises funds and public support for Harris Health System programs and services that go beyond the narrow scope of tax-assisted care for the uninsured and the underinsured. Through public-private partnerships, the HCHD Foundation leverages public funding for the Harris Health System, which is the community-owned healthcare system for Harris County.

The Harris County Hospital District (HCHD) Foundation Board of Trustees recently took time out of their busy schedules to recognize the hard work and dedication of two of the Foundation’s trustees. Members of the Houston Affiliate of Susan G. Komen for the Cure® board of trustees and grants committee visited the Harris Health System in April.  The HCHD Foundation has been receiving grants from Komen for almost 20 years. This funding has been instrumental in enhancing the mammography screening and diagnostic services in the Harris Health System.  The graphic above shows the volume of mammography services provided by the Harris Health System in the last 10 years.
